The long, summer break is over for the competitors of the 2015 Cooper Tires USF2000 Powered by Mazda. It is time to go back to racing -- in Ohio, this time. Forty-five days after his last victory, scored in the streets of Toronto, Nico Jamin is flying to Ohio to race again, in rounds 12, 13 and 14, on the challenging 2.258-mile, 13-turn Mid-Ohio sports-car course, located in Lexington, Ohio.

The Frenchman spent two weeks at Formula Medicine in Italy and went through a special preparation before this very important event that may decide the champion of the USF2000 series. As it has been since the first race of the season, Jamin’s goal remains to win as many races as he can by the end of the season.

Last week, Jamin visited the French headquarters of BRM Chronographes and was presented with the first of 25 BRM Nico Jamin limited-edition timepieces, which he will be proud to wear at his next podium ceremony.

On July 30 – Aug. 2, Jamin will drive his No. 2 Cape Motorsports with Wayne Taylor Racing/Synova Eco Plastics/BRM Chronographes/Racing for France/French Tuesdays/All Road Academy USF2000 Mazda in three, key, championship races.

Jamin loves the Ohio track. Three weeks ago, he and the team participated in the Mid-Ohio USF2000 test days and topped all drivers, recording the fastest time of the two-day test.

"We are about to take the final laps of the season, with only two events left, and I am very excited about that,” Jamin said. “We had more than a month off since the last race, but I've been working very hard with the team and on myself, in order to get that championship win at the end of the season. I'm heading to Mid-Ohio with confidence, because we had two great days of testing there. I ended up with the fastest lap, so I'll bring that momentum with me, and we'll see how it goes. I'm expecting a very successful weekend."

Jamin’s team owner, Dominic Cape, commented on his team’s chances for Mid-Ohio. “Cape Motorsports with Wayne Taylor Racing had a great two-day test earlier in the month, so we feel we have put ourselves in a very good position to maximize the team’s performance throughout the race weekend and the ever-changing conditions that Mid-Ohio will throw at us".

With 292 points, Jamin leads the 2015 Cooper Tires USF2000 National Championship Powered by Mazda by 17 points after 11 rounds, ahead of Jake Eidson (275 points) and his teammate, Aaron Telitz, (235 points).
