USF2000 and Cooper Tires Officials Pleased With First Oval-Track Tire Test of 2010

PALMETTO, Fla., March 6 — Three different compounds of Cooper oval-track tires recorded excellent results Wednesday as officials of the USF2000 National Championship presented by Cooper Tires and powered by Mazda conducted an oval-track tire test at Walt Disney World Speedway in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. in conjunction with Cooper Tires, the seriesʼ official tire partner and supplier.

British Karting Champion Josh Fielding to race in USF2000.

Having been chasing a drive in the UK Formula Renault Championship until late December, together with his management, P1, the decision to look further a field based on the budgets needed to be with the best team.

Several approaches where made to teams in the USA and very quickly Josh’s race winning background became very desirable. Many knowing his name from international karting success.

OUR MISSION
The goal of the USF2000 National Championship is to provide a professional, entry-level open-wheel training ground championship serving as the first step on the ladder to an IndyCar career.

The series will train and showcase its drivers as well as prepare aspiring engineers, mechanics and team owners for careers at the higher levels of the sport, while striving to maintain reasonable participant costs and allow team owners to operate at a profit.
