The driver of the Kaminsky Racing No. 27 Slick Locks car had only spent two days in a Tatuus USF-17 car prior to heading to St. Pete for the first two rounds of the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda, but by the end of the weekend had proved he could fit in nicely

The opening round of the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda marked the official competition debut of the Tatuus USF-17 race car, and perennial series powerhouse Cape Motorsports did not skip a beat with the new chassis, scoring a race win with their rookie phenom Oliver Askew.

Despite having plenty of seat time testing the new Tatuus USF-17 car, John Cummiskey Racing driver Kris Wright came to St. Petersburg with a lot of learning to do.
