Palmetto, FL - JAY Motorsports is proud to announce the signing of Augie Lerch to its 2015 Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda season. JAY Motorsports first entered the USF2000 Championship in 2012, claimed their first win in 2014 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Grand Prix Circuit and finished fourth in the 2014 overall Team Championship.

“I am really excited,” said Team Principal, Jay Green, on having Lerch join the team in 2015. “Augie fits the way the team approaches things. We’re basically a family run business and Augie understands that and appreciates it. I really believe that working together we will do what we’re trying to accomplish this season.”

Lerch has had a successful racing career so far. In 2013, he placed third in the S2 Championship class in the SKUSA SuperNationals. Last year, he raced in the F1600 series where he claimed one win, four podiums and finished third in the overall championship as a rookie.

“I’m fairly excited,” said Lerch on joining JAY Motorsports for 2015. “Working with a smaller team will enable me to learn more and focus less on winning every race. Jay has a good reputation and I think we will do well together.”

In addition to running the 2015 Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda, JAY Motorsports will be relaunching their social media presence. They have premiered a brand new website at www.jaymotorsports.com and will be providing a more interactive social experience on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram that allows a behind-the-scenes look on how the team works.
