FORTVILLE, Ind. – The next round of the USF2000 Presented by Cooper Tires is taking place this weekend at the lengthy 4.014-mile, 14-turn natural terrain road course of Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wis. This will be the fifth event weekend of eight this year, officially marking the halfway point in the season and Jay Howard Driver Development driver Al Morey is hungry for more.

“Road America is always a fun track. It’s the longest road course on the schedule and is challenging for even the best of drivers so I think we’re in for an interesting weekend,” expressed Morey. “I look forward to continuing the upward trend the team and I have been on and will look to utilize track knowledge as an advantage this weekend.”

Morey’s impressive drive at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park managed to move him up in the championship standings, sitting two points shy of the top 10. Morey will look to continue that upward momentum this weekend in Road America.

Morey continued, “The goal this year was to continue to learn and move up the result sheets. A huge thank you to my sponsors, Indy Boat Co., Reis Nichols Jewelers and Rafferty’s Bar and Grill. I’d also like to thank Jay Howard and the whole team. Thanks to all of them I have been able to achieve a lot this year, and I am excited for the rest of the 2023 season to see what it has in store for us.
