National Class Champions Start the Year in Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Series Powered by Mazda

Louisville, KY – After spending much of the off-season preparing its fleet of F2000 machines, AcceleRace Motorsports heads to St. Petersburg, Florida, to begin its 2012 effort with the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda.

After missing the first event at Sebring due to sponsor functions and commitments, the 2010 National Class Champion team, sponsored by imagePRO, SUBE SPORTS, Hi-Rise Equipment and Sabelt, is eager to start their 2012 and add to an already stout field.

“We spent the entire off-season streamlining our team organization and bringing in international talent from Spain and Denmark to the team, who have brought both our Championship Class and National Class programs to a higher, more professional level," stated Team Principal ML Padden. “Both John and Soren have found some more speed and durability to our cars, and we are very excited to see how we stack up to the field.”

With only a couple seats still available on the team, AcceleRace Motorsports is still talking to several drivers to join the 2012 campaign, and the calls continue to come in.

“We have had great interest from drivers from around the globe to participate in the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda,” stated Team Director Ardie Greenamyer. “We hope to bring some of these new faces to the program in the near future; perhaps even this weekend. Our 2012 testing program has produced elevated results, and we are eager to get on track!”
