Championship-winning team will now serve both the Spec Racer Ford and Formula Enterprises communities
CENTENNIAL, COLO. – SCCA Enterprises is excited to announce that Ohio-based Alliance Autosport is the new Customer Service Representative for the Sports Car Club of America Great Lakes Division. The championship-winning operation takes over the responsibilities of servicing the Spec Racer Ford and Formula Enterprises communities following the departure of long-time CSR JAY Motorsports.
For several years, drivers and teams competing in the Spec Racer Ford and Formula Enterprises classes within the Great Lakes Division have benefited from standout support and service via JAY Motorsports. That, however, is coming to an end, as the West Virginia-based team/prep shop is refocusing its racing efforts.
With the departure of JAY Motorsports, SCCA Enterprises was faced with the difficult task of finding a suitable replacement to act as the CSR for the highly-regarded Great Lakes Division. The Colorado-based organization met the challenge head-on, and emerged with an ideal choice...Alliance Autosport.
Alliance Autosport has competed extensively in both the Spec Racer Ford and Formula Enterprises classes for years, both in SCCA Club Racing and SCCA Pro Racing. An industry leader, having won two SCCA National Championships and three pro titles with Scott Rettich, the organization has the knowledge, experience, and expertise to assist/support any level of driver.
"SCCA Enterprises is extremely excited to welcome Scott Rettich and Alliance Autosport to the Customer Service Representative family," stated SCCA Enterprises President & CEO Erik Skirmants. "It was a daunting task to find a replacement for an organization as talented and dedicated as JAY Motorsports, and I’m grateful we have actually done so. Adding the extremely capable staff of Alliance Autosport, under the guidance of multiple time Runoffs and Pro Series Champion Scott Rettich, is a perfect fit. Their Columbus, Ohio. shop adds an element that we have never had before in SCCA’s Great Lakes Division. This more central location offers more arrive and drive prep opportunities, easier access to rentals, as well as between race car servicing opportunities."
"We are very excited that we are now the Customer Service Representative for the Great Lakes Division," stated Alliance Autosport driver/co-owner Scott Rettich. "We have enjoyed working with JAY Motorsports over the years in Spec Racer Ford and Formula Enterprises and we are eager to take on the task of supporting the SCCA Enterprises community in our division. Suren Tchobanian, our Team Manager/Co-Owner, has many years of experience with these cars and has the skills to lead the rest of our talented staff. We are looking forward to building relationships with all of the Great Lakes Division SRF and FE drivers and teams."
Based in Columbus, Ohio, Alliance Autosport will not only offer sales, service, and support to Spec Racer Ford and Formula Enterprises drivers and team from its race shop, but also be in attendance at SCCA National and Regional events within the Great Lakes Division to provide at the track assistance.
The chase for top honors within the SCCA Great Lakes Division continues this weekend (July 28-29), with a Regional event at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. The 49th annual SCCA National Championship Runoffs takes place at Road America in Wisconsin.
