One Lucky Fan to Travel the Mazda Road to Indy Circuit as Host

PALMETTO, Fla. (November 10, 2014) – Andersen Promotions today announced a casting call for a co-host of its popular RoadToIndy.TV program which debuted this year. The web TV initiative comprises a stream of bi-weekly episodes throughout the racing season focusing on the behind-the-scenes stories of drivers and teams on their way up the ladder in the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda, the Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires and Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires. The winner of the casting call will travel the full Mazda Road to Indy circuit in 2015 with all expenses paid.

The audition period begins today and runs through December 19. Interested fans can enter by submitting a one-minute video about themselves to the RoadToIndy.TV Facebook page. Five finalists will be chosen and fan voting will decide the winner. Contestants must be between the ages of 18 and 25, live in the United States and be available for travel based on the 2015 race schedules.

“This is a great opportunity for a fan to not only travel the country and attend our race events but also to gain experience behind the camera,” said Dan Andersen, Owner and CEO of Andersen Promotions. “We have been very pleased with everything JP Manterola [producer and host] and his team at Pro Racing Group have accomplished in our inaugural RoadToIndy.TV year and we look forward to building on our efforts next season. They are a fun group who are dedicated to helping to showcase our drivers, teams, sponsors and partners and I think the winner of the casting call will have a great time next year.”

Hosting duties will begin at the pre-season Cooper Tires Winterfest at NOLA Motorsports Park on February 19/20 and Barber Motorsports Park on February 25/26. The Mazda Road to Indy race season kicks off on March 28/29 on the streets of St. Petersburg with the Verizon IndyCar Series.

“We are very passionate about our work in the racing industry and we look forward to finding a fan who can match our enthusiasm,” said Manterola. “We’re looking for someone outgoing and engaging along with great sense of humor. These qualities will definitely standout when it comes to choosing the future TV host of the Mazda Road to Indy.”

The winner will be announced on Monday, December 29.
