“Today, day 3 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway was our first day of qualifying. In qualifying, it was a drying track and we started having decent speed in the end of the session, but came up a little short on fuel, so we didn’t get our fastest laps in, which put us 6^th. I had a nice move into turn one on the start that put me into 5^th place. Eventually, I worked my way around Victor and was trying to run down Jake Eidson for 1^st when Will Owen, who had previous come in, put on slick tires, and rejoined just came out of nowhere and went flying past Jake and I . I could never quite reel Jake in enough to make a move on him, and settled for third. But it’s awesome to podi8um two times in a row, I’m looking to make it three tomorrow.”

“It was a pretty interesting weekend so far. Qualifying was really interesting because we were super quick in the wet, but then had some unfortunate things happen with not being able to refuel during the session. We only got back out there for the last couple laps and hit some traffic. I qualified in 12^th place and then ended up moving up to 10^th for the start. After the green, I got all the way up to 4^th on a lap, and unfortunately I couldn’t hold onto it too much with others going on sticker slick tires as the track dried. So their pace was a little better. We held 6^th place which is good for the team. Tomorrow I start a little far back because and I started today’s race on rain tires, but hopefully we’ll have another big first lap tomorrow and get a couple places higher."
