GILBERT, Ariz. – Jace Bacon is all set for his next challenge following a successful stint at Road America where he competed in Radical Cup and USF2000. Racing out of the Jay Howard Driver Development stable, Bacon will be taking on the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Rounds 11 through 13 of the USF2000 Presented by Continental Tire series this weekend.
“I am not going to lie, going back and forth in two different cars, in two different series and with changing weather conditions was not the easiest,” explained Bacon after Road America. “This weekend, I will be able to focus on one thing, and take advantage of the extra track time that is being offered on Thursday.”
Bacon, who has multiple race wins, podium results and fast laps to his name in the sportscar world of Radical Cup, is continuing his development in open-wheel racing under the watchful eye of Jay Howard.
“Jace has a lot of natural talent for someone who started racing older than his peers,” added Howard. “If he continues to get quality seat time, he can become a winner and champion in open-wheel racing.”
Bacon continued, “I am looking forward to Mid-Ohio this weekend. With an extra test day and three races, I feel there will be a ton of track time to help my development.”
Bacon and the rest of the USF2000 Presented by Continental Tire grid will hit the track Thursday for testing before the official race weekend begins on Friday.
