Team looks to carry momentum from the streets of Toronto to the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course
From the tight confines of the streets of Toronto to the rolling hills of the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, ArmsUp Motorsports hopes to carry their momentum into the triple-header weekend. With rounds 10 through 12 of the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda set for this weekend, Dakota Dickerson will look to take ArmsUp Motorsports back to the top.
"We had a good test at Mid-Ohio last week and crossed a lot of items off of our test plan," explained Gregg Borland, Owner of ArmsUp Motorsports. "We worked throughout the two days to consistently improve the speed of our car and are happy where we ended up, closing the two-day test in the top five. Dakota is a great driver and a fierce competitor and I am confident we can challenge for the top positions this coming weekend."
Fresh off a pole position and a podium result in Toronto, Dickerson is hungry to reach the top step of the podium in USF2000 competition.
"The guys at ArmsUp have been nothing short of fantastic," added Dickerson. "The constant and consistent improvement is proof of this and it is only a matter of time. From the mechanics to the ownership, we all gel really well together and are working towards a common goal and I think our results are beginning to prove that."
Away from the track, Dickerson and several other Mazda Road to Indy competitors will take part in the seventh annual Rally for the Ranch event at the Hollywood Casino in Columbus, Ohio on Thursday evening.
With a promoter's test day set for Thursday, qualifying and the first wheel-to-wheel action will commence on Friday.
