OCONOMOWOC, WI – Pabst Racing Services has signed Canadian Dalton Kellett to drive for the team in the 2012 Cooper Tires Presents the USF2000 National Championship Powered by Mazda.
The Queen’s University of Engineering student Finished 3rd in the 2011 Ontario Formula Ford Championship points standings, after missing the first four events. Kellett brings a storied history in the karting ranks and plans to make his mark on the Mazda Road to Indy Program.
Kellett added, “ I am very excited to be working with Augie and Pabst Racing Services for the 2012 season. I have a steep learning curve ahead of me but I am very confident that myself and the team will thrive off each other to make the 2012 season a very successful one.”
The team, led by owner/manager Augie Pabst, is thrilled to continue with Kellett after a successful test earlier in the week.
“Our test with Dalton confirmed he was ready to take the next step in our Mazda powered Van Diemen and we are looking forward to the upcoming USF2000 Winter Series as well as the regular USF2000 Championship Series with Dalton,” said Pabst.
The team will announce a Championship Class teammate for Kellett in the near future. In addition to its two Championship Class cars, the Pabst team will be preparing a National Class car for series regular J.R. Smart on limited schedule in 2012.
