(Braselton, GA) The off-season may have been full of adventure for driver Danilo Estrela, but the 19-year-old Brazilian is now focused on the 2013 Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda season opener during the legendary Twelve Hours of Sebring in Sebring, Fla. This circuit is not uncommon to Estrela as he raced here previously with the 2010 Skip Barber National Series presented by Mazda. Recently, Estrela was at Sebring International Raceway with Belardi Auto Racing for the USF2000 Cooper Tires Winterfest where he claimed a podium finish in Race 1.
Estrela began his time off with a trip home to Brazil for some rest and relaxation. That wouldn't last long as he was called to participate in the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg Media Day karting event. The event included top IZOD Indycar Series drivers, such as Alex Tagliani, as well as various media professionals. After battling Tagliani on the last lap, Estrela and his team were able to take the win.
Estrela remained in Orlando, Fla., to prepare himself for this week's opener. He will contest the entire 2013 season with Belardi Auto Racing.
