St. Petersburg, FL (March 21th, 2012) Collete Davis, the 18-year-old sophomore Mechanical Engineering student from Daytona Beach, FL who just completed her first pro race weekend, announces today the addition of a primary sponsorship by Global Emergency Products, a Temco Machinery Inc. Company, for Rounds 3 and 4 of the 2012 Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda this coming week on the Streets of St. Petersburg in support of the IZOD IndyCar Series’ Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg.

As the second stop on the USF2000 Championship Series 2012 schedule, this will also be Davis’s first street race and only second race weekend in the car.

“I’m incredibly happy to announce the addition of a primary sponsor for this month’s Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg. I have to thank Tom Keiser from Global Emergency Products and Steve Stadel from One Formula Racing for putting this deal together and for their continued support. I attended the race last year as a spectator, and it’s a dream come true to be apart of the action this year racing the #77 Global Emergency Products-BeatByAGirl.org Formula Enterprise race car. It will be my first street race and it means a lot to me personally to be running the number 77, which is the number I started kart racing in, over Dan Wheldon Way in memory of such an inspiring person who had such an impact in our sport.”

After a successful pro debut this past week as the only female competing in the National Class of the 2012 Cooper Tires Presents the USF2000 National Championship record-setting field of 36 cars for rounds 1 and 2 at Sebring International Raceway, Davis looks to continue her learning curve in St. Petersburg.

Davis will be on track Thursday, March 22nd, at 5:35 p.m. EDT for official practice for the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg. Follow live Timing & Scoring at USF2000.com.
