F1600 Graduate Will Run Alongside Josh Green in Two-Car Effort

Mundelein, Ill. – Dylan Christie, a breakout formula car racer from New Jersey, will team up with Turn 3 Motorsport for the 2021 Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship alongside teammate Josh Green. Like Green, Christie is an accomplished karting racer who recently advanced that talent to formula racing. The 17-year-old took his first season of car racing by storm, finishing second overall in the 2020 FRP F1600 Series with four wins and 12 podiums in his rookie year in addition to winning three SCCA races.

“I expect to see a lot of self-improvement this year in the USF2000 series with Turn 3 Motorsport,” said Christie. “I am happy to be with a team that values preparation and learning as much as I do. Peter (Dempsey), Richard (Lyons), and the entire team come from a background of success and possess all the knowledge and skill I need to keep moving forward. They have a great combination of experience, talent, and motivation. I’m looking forward to learning from them and building upon the success I had last year in F1600. I know that if we put in the time and effort, the results will come.”

Two key figures championing the Road to Indy program will be Team Owner Peter Dempsey and Driver Development Manager Richard Lyons, veterans of the sport who come from extensive racing backgrounds. Their experience and skill set along with a returning crew who led the team to achieve third overall in the Indy Pro 2000 Championship Presented by Cooper Tires last year promises a strong foundation for Turn 3 Motorsport’s 2021 campaign.

“It’s very exciting to have Dylan join our program for the season,” said Peter Dempsey. “Coming from karting and going into F1600 last year is a very similar path to what I’ve had in my career, so I really feel like he has made the right steps moving into USF2000 this year. As a team, we are really looking forward to working with him alongside Josh to do the best job we can throughout the season. He will have a lot to learn, and hopefully Turn 3 Motorsport can provide the tools he will need to develop as a driver during the 2021 season.”

Recent updates to the 2021 Road to Indy schedule will see the USF2000 season opening at Barber Motorsports Park April 10-11 followed by the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg April 24-25.
