BELMONT, N.C. – After a pair of top-10 finishes and the fastest lap of the race at Road America, Danny Dyszelski is set to see if he can improve on those statistics this weekend at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio. Piloting a VRD Racing machine in USF2000 Presented by Cooper Tires, the triple-header weekend will be jam-packed with on-track action beginning Thursday and running through Saturday.

“While the results did not prove our speed at Road America, we did leave Wisconsin with eighth and 10th-place results,” explained Dyszelski. “The positive in the weekend was the speed that we were able to run once the race action began. As one of the fastest drivers in race one, and turning the fastest lap of race two, we have something to build upon in the important triple-header event this weekend.”

Currently eighth in the point standings, Dyszelski has three opportunities this weekend to gain additional points and move himself up in the championship battle. With Mid-Ohio the home of rounds 11 through 13 of the 18-race championship, it is a key weekend in the season before drivers conclude 2023 with events in Toronto and Portland.

Dyszelski continued, “I am still looking for my first open-wheel win this season after multiple victories in the Radical Cup North America series, and Mid-Ohio seems like the perfect place to be able to climb to the top step of the podium.” 

With an action-packed three-day event weekend, Dyszelski will hit the track on Thursday for a pair of Promoter Test sessions before practice, qualifying and race one kicks off on Friday. Saturday will see a pair of wheel-to-wheel races and provide opportunities two and three of the weekend to be on the podium.
