A winner in Radicals, Dyszelski is looking for the top of the podium in USF2000
BELMONT, N.C. – The USF2000 Presented by Cooper Tires championship returns to the track this coming weekend and one driver who will be looking to kick start his season is VRD Racing’s Danny Dyszelski. A multi-time race winner in the Blue Marble Radical Cup North America program, Dyszelski is still searching for his first USF2000 Presented by Cooper Tires race win, and he is hoping it comes this weekend at the legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Currently 11th in the USF2000 championship standings, a mere 21 points away from the fifth-place competitor, Dyszelski will have three chances to stand atop the podium this weekend in Indy during rounds five, six, and seven of the popular USF Pro Championships Presented by Cooper Tires ladder program.
“I am ready to become a multi-series winner this year, and there is not a better place to do it than at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway,” said Dyszelski. “We had an unfortunate start to the season on the open-wheel side of my program with a problem with the car that we could not figure out for the first two USF weekends. We did a full teardown of the car after the last race, and we finally have the problem fixed. With the car sorted out, I want to push hard to find my way to the podium this weekend.”
Sharing the track with the top-tier NTT INDYCAR SERIES for the annual GMR Grand Prix, Dyzszelski will also race alongside the complete USF Pro Championships ladder program. Looking to progress through the pipeline in the future, Indy provides a great opportunity for a driver to showcase their skillset during the famous ‘Month of May’ in Indianapolis.
Dyszelski continued, “We have a great car and a solid team around me. We need some things to go our way on track, and I am confident that we come home with the win, or wins.”
With three wheel-to-wheel races over the May 11-13 event, Dyszelski will hit the track Thursday for a pair of Promoter Test sessions and one practice session before qualifying and the wheel-to-wheel racing commences Friday and runs through Saturday.
