SALINAS, Calif. - After major upsets at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Danilo Estrela will cross country to Salinas, Calif., for the Allied Building Products Grand Prix at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. In previous years Estrela has achieved great success at the famous track including winning the 2010-2011 Skip Barber Karting Shootout and the 2011 Skip Barber Race Series Champion Shootout. Although he may be comfortable in an open-wheel car around the track, this will be his first time driving a Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda car here. Estrela is certain that if he applies the skills he learned during the Skip Barber Racing School events he will find the same success with his #11 Belardi Auto Racing entry.

Racing won't be the only thing on Estrela's schedule while in California. He will make a stop at the Monterey Public Library (625 Pacific Street Monterey, CA 93940) on Thursday, September 5th, from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. for autographs, photos as well as media interviews. Estrela will then be making an appearance at the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) of Monterey County for a special donation drive, presented by Mazda, on Friday, September 6th at 9:00 a.m. For each pet adoption Mazda will be giving away a special 1:43 scale model car for their "Free Car with Every Adoption" promotion.
