Papasavvas looking to continue podium streak in New Orleans
LOVELAND, Ohio – This weekend, the USF Pro Championships Presented by Continental Tire travel to Louisiana for rounds three, four and five of the 2024 season. Following a strong weekend on the Streets of St. Petersburg, USF2000 and Jay Howard Driver Development (JHDD) driver Evagoras Papasavvas has high hopes for the weekend at NOLA Motorsports Park after a double podium result to kick off the 2024 season.
In the first weekend of the year, Papasavvas finished on the podium in both races, and he comes to NOLA Motorsports Park sitting second in the USF2000 championship with the goal of remaining at the front of the talent-filled field and staying consistent throughout the season.
“After a strong start in St. Pete, I’m confident that we can have another great outing this weekend,” said Papasavvas. “It’s still early in the season, but second in the championship is a good place to be, and I think we can focus on consistent and solid results at NOLA and for the rest of the season to make a run at the title. St. Pete is always a lottery with rookies and walls, but we were unscathed and will hopefully go a long way in accomplishing the 2024 goals.”
Papasavvas and the rest of the USF2000 field will take to the 2.74-mile, 13-turn course Friday for three test sessions followed by the sole practice of the weekend. Two qualifying sessions and race one will take place on Saturday, with races two and three scheduled for Sunday. All official sessions can be streamed at USF2000.com beginning with qualifying and running through the final checkered flag of the weekend.
