INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Jay Howard Driver Development (JHDD) is delighted to announce that Christian Bogle will drive for the team in multiple categories once again for the 2020 racing season.
Having enjoyed successful rookie campaigns in the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship and the F4 US Championship, Bogle will once again be competing in both categories for the 2020 season. To further enhance the driver development factor, JHDD has also added two Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires cars to its stable, one of which will be piloted by Bogle at multiple tests throughout the year, beginning with the series test at Sebring International Raceway, December 11 - 12.
Bogle, whose first year in racing peaked with back-to-back victories at the recent Circuit of The Americas event held on the Formula 1 weekend, is raring to go for 2020 and is looking to maintain his level of progression under the guidance of JHDD.
“I am super excited to be able to have the opportunity to test an Indy Lights car!” said an excited Bogle. “Coming from F4 and USF2000, it will be a pretty large jump but I’m sure it will be one of the most enjoyable things I’ve done to date! With the additional testing in Indy Lights, I’m hoping to see that help my performances in F4 and USF2000.”
Team-owner Jay Howard is equally excited to welcome Bogle back, as well as expanding his operation further for the 2020 season and beyond.
“Not only is it fantastic to welcome Christian (Bogle) back to the team, but it’s also a big day for JHDD as we add two Indy Lights cars to our program,” commented Howard. “Christian showed remarkable progression throughout this season, and we believe adding an Indy Lights testing program to the mix will continue to challenge and further his development. It will also allow us to develop as a team, and by having two cars on hand we’re making it clear we want to run both of them for testing throughout the year, with an eye on expanding full time into the Indy Lights category for 2021.”
Bogle and JHDD will return to action next month for the Indy Lights series test at Sebring International Raceway (short course), December 11 - 12. Drivers who are interested in seeking Indy Lights testing opportunities with the race winning outfit are welcome to contact the team.
