CARMEL, Ind. – Fresh off a victory and several top-10 results at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course over the Fourth of July holiday weekend, Jay Howard Driver Development (JHDD) is heading north of the border. Taking on the Streets of Toronto during the legendary Honda Indy Toronto weekend and racing alongside the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, JHDD will bring five drivers to the challenging 11-turn circuit.

“Toronto is always a challenge as it is a street circuit that usually bites some of the best drivers,” explained Howard. “We have five drivers, some rookies and some veterans, and I know that they will all work together for success.”

In the USF2000 Presented by Cooper Tires program, second place in the point standings and multi-time race winner Lochie Hughes leads JHDD into Toronto while Evagoras Papasavvas enters Canada on the strength of his first career pole position and win, two podium finishes and three top-five results from Ohio. Indiana resident and USF2000 rookie Al Morey continues to add top-10 results to his resume as he looks to tackle Toronto and his second career temporary circuit alongside Logan Adams who made his series debut in Ohio.

Switching to the USF Pro 2000 Championship Presented by Cooper Tires, JHDD will enter a single driver in Ricardo Escotto. Ricardo tasted the spoils of the podium earlier in the season and would like nothing more than to spray the champagne in Canada.

Howard continued, “We have five talented drivers, and we will set out goals before the first session this coming Friday. Staying clean and completing every lap in practice and in the races will be the key to success and even if we are not in contention for podium results, we need to try and gain as many championship points as possible.”

Set to hit the track Friday for one practice session in each class, JHDD drivers will progress into qualifying that afternoon for race one. Saturday morning will see qualifying for race two which will take place Sunday morning while the first wheel-to-wheel action of the weekend goes green on Saturday afternoon.
