Talented five-car line-up set to challenge for wins during season-opening doubleheader

MINNEAPOLIS, MN. – The annual chase for wins and a championship title commences for JDC MotorSports this week (March 15-16), when the squad unleashes a five-car assault on the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship powered by Mazda at Sebring International Raceway. Junior formula talents Neil Alberico, Scott Hargrove, Michael Johnson, Chris Miller, and Zac Silver will all line-up under the team awning in central Florida, giving the Minnesota-based squad one of the premier rosters in the Mazda Road to Indy program, and an ideal opportunity to start the season on a winning note.

JDC MotorSports has always strived to get the most from its drivers, and ultimately challenge for top honors. For its USF2000 Championship program, the first step in achieving that goal in 2012 takes place at the former World War II air base now know as Sebring International Raceway. As part of a 30+ field of highly talented racers dueling for supremacy, five JDC drivers will roll on-course poised to not only make their mark, but also begin their quest for a series title during the season-opening doubleheader. While Alberico, Hargrove, Johnson, and Silver, enter races one and two on USF2000 calendar with no official series experience, the foursome have already showcased their ever-growing talents behind the wheel via one podium finish, four top-fives, and 11 top-10s during the 'off-season' Winterfest championship. Add in Miller's expertise as a former F2000 Championship Series champion, and JDC MotorSports has the drivers and cars to visit victory lane during the prestigious Twelve Hours of Sebring event.

"Sebring is going to be a blast!" said Alberico, who is piloting the No. Kartel Motorsports/Bondurant School/RaceLite Protection/ Red Line Oil/JDC MotorSports car. "The team has been working flat-out in preparation for what has geared up to be a highly anticipated USF2000 season. I'm psyched to finally get there and have some fun."

"I am so pleased to finally have the start of the season just around the corner," stated Hargrove. "Sebring is a great place to kick-off the season, as it is very difficult and will test our limits right away. I know that JDC MotorSports has provided a package that will allow us to be at the front right from the get go. We have been working hard on getting the No. 38 Analytic Systems/Race Energy/CWA Industries/Red Line Oil/JDC MotorSports USF2000 entry on the grid, and I can’t wait to show everyone what we can do."

"I got a taste of the USF2000 series last year and really enjoyed it," commented Miller, who will contest the Sebring and St. Petersburg doubleheaders in the No. 85 Miller Milling Company/Red Line Oil/JDC MotorSports entry. "The level of competition was high, and looks to be even higher this year. I am thrilled to be reuniting with JDC MotorSports, and I am confident that we can achieve some strong results right away."

JDC MotorSports and its highly-rated driver line-up of Alberico, Hargrove, Johnson, Miller, and Silver begin the quest for Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship powered by Mazda wins on March 13, with 60th annual Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh from Florida testing. Practice on the fast and bumpy Sebring International Raceway road course takes place on March 14. The lone qualifying run will take place on the morning of March 15, followed by Round One at 1:20 p.m. local time. Round Two is scheduled for March 16, at 11:15 a.m. local time.
