CARMEL, Ind. – Jay Howard Driver Development (JHDD) will take six drivers to Canada for this weekend's USF Pro Championships Presented by Continental Tire event at the 11-turn, 1.786-mile Streets of Toronto circuit. Five competitors will battle in USF2000 while the Indy-based program will enter a single entry in USF Pro 2000.
As one of only two barrier-lined circuits on the calendar, Toronto represents the penultimate event weekend of the season. Whether they are looking to cap off a season on a high or build momentum for the 2025 season, the challenging and bumpy layout is a favorite amongst many teams and competitors.
“Toronto is a good time for all, but one of the more challenging races of the year,” explained Jay Howard. “The track is very narrow and has a relatively low grip for the first couple of sessions, so it’s pretty high risk, but we have the team that can win.”
A new name will be present in a JHDD USF2000 machine as USF Juniors multi-time race winner Liam McNeilly will make the jump up. Following his path, G3 Argyros will also look to gain experience on the temporary circuit. Mid-Ohio race winner Evagoras Papasavvas will look to find his way back to the top step of the podium and will need a good weekend to get back into the championship picture. Meanwhile, Michael Costello aims for his first USF2000 win after earning another podium result in Ohio. Jace Bacon will look to rebound from a difficult event at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course but comes to Toronto with some circuit knowledge. Competing in the Radical Cup North America program in 2023, Bacon will look to turn that knowledge into results this weekend.
Frankie Mossman will be the lone JHDD combatant in USF Pro 2000 Presented by Continental Tire. Poised for a breakout weekend, Mossman is looking to finish Toronto and the final event of the 2024 season in Portland with race wins and podium results.
The JHDD drivers will hit the temporary street circuit next Friday for one one short 30-minute practice session to come to grips with the track before they head straight into qualifying for race one that afternoon. Qualifying for race two will take place on Saturday morning before the first wheel-to-wheel race rolls off the grid on Saturday afternoon. The event will conclude Sunday morning with the second race of the weekend.
