Legacy RA 2019 Advance
Fresh off their first podium of the 2019 season, Legacy Autosport and multi-time Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Series race winner Alex Baron are headed to Road America. Set to take on the 4.014-mile, 14-turn natural terrain road course, the duo of Baron and Legacy Autosport are looking to build off of their recent podium at Lucas Oil Raceway. Gaining momentum as the season progressed, a race win is the goal in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.

"We have had a few scenarios that have put us behind early, but I think we are now on pace and ready for the rest of the season," explained Legacy Autosport's Mike Meyer. "An unfortunate incident in race one of the season destroyed our car and really put us behind right away. Race two was after an all night rebuild, and the crew and Alex did amazing job to bring home a fourth place finish. We arrived at Indy and lacked straight line speed, but sorted through the issues claiming a pair of top-ten results before standing on the podium at the one and only oval event of the year."

It has been a natural progression of an upward trend and with a podium now under their belt in 2019, renewed focus, energy and motivation are the driving forces as the team looks to check the win column.

Meyer continued, "We have the team, equipment, partners and driver. We need things to go our way, and I am sure Alex can put our name on the top step of the podium."

With a second car available for this weekend at Road America, the Streets of Toronto, Portland and Laguna Seca, Legacy Autosport will confirm a second driver for the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course after this weekend's event.

Traveling to the Dairy State and Road America for rounds six and seven of the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship, Legacy Autosport will hit the track Friday for a single practice session ahead of race one qualifying that afternoon. Saturday will be the home of qualifying for race two and the first wheel-to-wheel action of the weekend with race two taking place on Sunday morning.
