French Canadian aims to tackle second rung on USF Pro Championships ladder program
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Making the move to the USF Pro Championship ladder program with Jay Howard Driver Development, French-Canadian Louka St-Jean is set to make his USF2000 Presented by Cooper Tires debut. With the Streets of St. Petersburg providing the first challenge for the rookie driver, St-Jean will lean on the experience from his JHDD efforts and handful of teammates to get up to speed over the March 3-5 weekend.
“I am excited and ready to go,” expressed St-Jean. “We have had a good off-season of testing and I am up for the challenge. I have set realistic goals for myself early on this year and as I achieve them, I know we will reset more challenging goals.”
A competitor in the F4 United States Championship in 2022, St-Jean made the move to the popular USF Pro Championships ladder with his sights set on the NTT INDYCAR SERIES. Racing with Jay Howard Driver Development and receiving coaching direct from a former INDYCAR driver himself, St-Jean is confident in his future progression and understands the work that is needed to be successful.
St-Jean added, “A huge thank you to Jay Howard and the team for the constant coaching and pushing of me to be better. Making the move from F4 to USF2000 is a big step as I look to continue to climb the motorsports ladder and the first challenge this weekend is at the St. Pete Grand Prix.”
Louka St-Jean and the rest of the Jay Howard Driver Development team will hit the track this weekend for the first wheel-to-wheel action of the 2023 season. In a double header weekend that will feature racing alongside the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, St-Jean is primed and ready to continue to add to his knowledge and experience on the barrier-lined circuit in St. Pete.
