The Victorian driver capped off an impressive 2010 campaign with his third Victorian State championship in a row, coupled with an eye opening debut in America which saw him qualify 2nd, before leading the field in his first race start in the category. He backed that up one day later when he charged through to his first podium finish in the category, putting himself into a great position for a successful outcome in 2011.

Luke’s story is made even more special after nearly throwing in the towel in 2010. Luke was without budget and had little on the horizon. 2 months later and Melbourne IT Solutions had jumped on board and put Luke on the grid for a return in the State Championship – winning every race he finished during the year.

“We had no 2010 budget after running the Australian Formula Ford Championship in 2009. I honestly thought we would be sitting around doing nothing, but Carolyn from Melbourne IT Solutions put her sticker on the side of the car and we went racing. The American dream has become so serious now I quit my day job to concentrate on sponsorship and fundraising” Said a determined Ellery.
