OKA, Que., Canada - Thomas Nepveu and the DEForce Racing crew are gearing up for an intense event this weekend in Ohio as the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship will have a triple-header event at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.

The young Oka native will be on track for three races, the first one being Friday night and the other two on Saturday. The Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course is a track that has no secrets for Thomas Nepveu, as he competed for five races last year and tested there at the end of the season.

"It's a nice, fun track," said the driver of the #10 Cromwell | Pétrole Bélanger | Home Hardware | Karting Excellence machine. "It's a track that feels like Barber (Alabama); the straights are not long. So it's essential to focus on the qualifying session to get a good spot on the starting grid. It's hard to overtake, so we'll have to rely on the start and restarts to gain positions."

He continued, "Our car will be very good there; we tested at the end of the season last year, and we were fast. I hope it doesn't rain because the track gets very slippery when wet."

For Thomas, the goal will be to get three top-fives to get as many points as possible and also get a podium finish.

"Going into a big triple header in Mid-Ohio, it's not the easiest place to overtake," said Coy Arbour, Thomas' coach. " We will be working with DEForce Racing to have a solid qualifying and visit the podium as often as we can, carrying the momentum from Road America."

About Mid-Ohio
Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, a track on the outskirts of Lexington (Ohio), was established in 1962. It began as a weekend amateur race track and quickly became a major track, hosting the CART (now NTT INDYCAR) Series in 1980. After a hiatus, INDYCAR returned in 2007. In addition to the premier single-seater series, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course is home to the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and NASCAR.
