Lindh will make Debut in Mazda Road to Indy with Pabst Racing

Oconomowoc, Wisconsin - Today, a second driver was announced by 2017 Team Champions Pabst Racing. Sixteen-year-old Rasmus Lindh will pilot the #23 Chicago Pneumatic entry in the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda beginning in March at the St. Petersburg Grand Prix.

Hailing from Gothenburg, Sweden, Lindh’s racing career began at the age of 6 in karting. The young Swede will make the move to single seaters in the United States for the first time in 2018. This transition comes after seeing much success in karting over the course of 10 years. Most recently, Lindh took fifth place in the CIK-FIA World Championship in the Senior category of OK.

The announcement comes after a series of test days with the team in October and November, where Lindh impressed the team in adapting well to the Tatuus USF-17.

“We had several very successful tests with Rasmus last fall and I’m confident his pace will be very impressive right from the start,” said team owner Augie Pabst. “This young man will be making regular visits to the podium in 2018!”

Lindh will make his American debut with the team and will gain immense experience throughout the season in the fourteen-round championship and additional tests.

“I feel very confident in signing with Pabst Racing,” said Lindh. “Pre-season testing went well and I am excited to have the opportunity to race in the USF2000 Championship in 2018!”

As the 2018 season quickly approaches, Pabst Racing is busy preparing and plans to announce the rest of the team lineup in the near future.
