"I’m really excited going into the new season, and happy to be back with the awesome crew at Pabst Racing,” said Sundaramoorthy. “I’ve worked on a lot of different things in the off-season and feel really confident we can bring home a championship this year.”
During the 2021 season, Yuven will balance his education with racing. He is a freshman at University of Wisconsin at Madison, studying computer science and is optimistic about handling the demanding schedule.
"2020 was an adventure and taught us to adapt to ever-changing circumstances. For 2021, I’ll be managing racing alongside freshman classes at college, and I’m excited for the challenge.”
Sundaramoorthy who was born in Pabst Racing’s hometown of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin recently moved back to begin his college education. His love for motorsport began in Shanghai where he raced karts before he moved stateside to race F1600. In 2019, his first year with Pabst Racing in USF2000, he secured five top-10 finishes. Together, the team went on to win the USF2000 team championship that year.
The 2020 season was met with unique circumstances but he brought home 10 top-10 finishes and team owner Augie Pabst is looking forward to another year with Sundaramoorthy.
“We’re looking forward to helping make 2021 a breakthrough year of on-track results for Yuven and his supporters,” said Pabst.
“After testing with many of the other USF2000 teams in the fall of 2020, Yuven’s choice to return to Pabst Racing for his third season is truly a compliment and clearly demonstrates his faith in our ability as a team.”
The season will kick-off at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama on April 8th through 11th.
