Team Pelfrey’s Los Angeles-based Russian Nikita Lastochkin produced his best performances of the season as he qualified sixth, then ran as high as fourth in Race One at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.

Scholarship prizes and awards totaling more than $2.3 million were distributed during last night’s Championship Celebration banquet at the Monterey Plaza Hotel following another hugely successful Mazda Road to Indy season which concluded this past weekend at nearby Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Just shy of 300 people attended the banquet including more than 30 drivers representing 12 nations from around the globe.

Jamin earns his 10th win of the season and sixth in succession. It was also the sixth race in a row in which the 19-year-old Frenchman had scored a maximum 33 points, including bonuses for pole position, most laps led and the fastest race lap
