There was lots to smile about under the JDC MotorSports tent last weekend (July 30-August 1) during the Mazda Road to Indy event at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio.

The first two levels of the highly successful Mazda Road to Indy – the unique driver development program providing a clear, scholarship-funded path for drivers to follow toward the pinnacle of the sport – are set for a revitalization as Andersen Promotions today announced plans to introduce a new chassis in each series.

Afterburner Autosport Team Principal Tim Walsh could not have asked for much more from his two rookie drivers when he and the squad returned to action in the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda this past weekend at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.

Cape Motorsports with Wayne Taylor Racing swept all three Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda races at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, July 30 – August 2. In the process, the team claimed its fourth championship in as many years.

Nico Jamin traveled to Ohio to compete in the Allied Building Products Grand Prix of Mid-Ohio, Rounds 12, 13 and 14 of the 16-race Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda, with the goal of keeping the lead in the 2015 championship. He did more than that.
