LOVELAND, Ohio – USF2000 Presented by Continental Tire heads to Ohio for an action-packed weekend at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, which will host Rounds 11, 12 and 13 of the championship. Jay Howard Driver Development (JHDD) driver Evagoras Papasavvas is looking to return to the podium's top step at his home race and repeat his success from the corresponding race in Ohio in 2023.

In the most recent USF2000 race weekend at Road America, Papasavvas fought through a tough start to bring home a fifth-place finish. He currently sits third in the championship standings with a handful of 2024 podium results to his credit but is looking for his first win of the season.

“Road America was a difficult weekend for us, but scoring a top-five finish in a difficult weekend is something I’m proud of,” Papasavas said. “We’re ready to be back running at the front, and I’m confident that that’s where we’ll be this weekend. Our push for the championship gets elevated this weekend.” 

Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course is a home track for Papasavvas, a track he’s had success at before. Last year, Papasavvas won at Mid-Ohio in USF2000 and scored an additional podium finish. 

“Winning at Mid-Ohio last year was an incredible feeling,” Papasavvas added. “Nothing beats standing on the top of the podium at your home race, and I hope to do that again this year. The competition is fierce this year, but I know we have what it takes to win this weekend.” 

Papasavvas and the rest of the USF2000 field will take to the 2.258-mile, 13-turn road course Thursday for a test day before the official competition begins Friday morning for a practice session, followed by qualifying and race one. Race two will take place on Saturday, and the weekend will wrap up with race three on Sunday morning.
