LOVELAND, Ohio – After a tough event in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, Jay Howard Driver Development (JHDD) competitor Evagoras Papasavvas is looking to turn his fortunes around this weekend. Set to battle at the famed Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Rounds 11 through 13 of the USF2000 Championship Presented by Cooper Tires, Papasavvas will aim to claw back lost championship points in the season's second-last tripleheader weekend.
“It was a difficult weekend for results at Road America but the good thing about the short break between races is that I get to fight for redemption this weekend,” explained Papasavvas. “Mid-Ohio is my home track, and I look forward to welcoming friends, families and partners trackside this weekend.”
Falling to fifth in the championship point standings, Evagoras has multiple second and third-place podium results to his credit to date in 2023. With three wheel-to-wheel races on the schedule this weekend, five more remain following the Ohio tripleheader including two on the Streets of Toronto and three more at Portland International Raceway.
Papasavvas added, “I have several podiums, but no win yet. Winning at Mid-Ohio would be a dream come true, and I look forward to three chances to complete that task this weekend.”
