LOVELAND, Ohio – The USF2000 Presented by Continental Tire program travels to Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin this weekend to race alongside the NTT INDYCAR SERIES for rounds nine and 10 of the championship at the famed Road America. Evagoras Papasavvas, the driver of the #6 Jay Howard Driver Development (JHDD) machine, aims to continue his strong run of form and take the fight for the championship to a new level.

In the last round at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park, Papasavvas had a good outing, taking advantage of opportunities to move forward from his sixth-place starting position and ultimately reaching the checkered flag in third, adding another podium to his massive 2024 total. 

“We had a good race at IRP, and a podium was a good way to end the day,” Papasavvas said after the night race was postponed due to rain to the next day. “Looking forward to this weekend and Road America, we have two chances to fight for a win, as we expect to have a strong pace there. I’m confident we can be up front to make the most of those opportunities.”

With the podium at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park, Papasavvas remains in the fight for the championship, currently sitting second in the standings, just 28 markers behind the current point leader.

“Coming into Road America second in the championship, we need to have some strong results to take the fight to the next level, and I’m sure we can get the results we need,” Papasavvas continued. “The JHDD crew has been great all season, and I can’t wait to see what we can accomplish this weekend.”

Papasavvas and the rest of the USF2000 competitors will first take to the 4.014-mile, 14-turn road course Friday morning for the only weekend practice session, followed by qualifying. Both races are scheduled to take place on Saturday.
