LOVELAND, Ohio – With multiple USF2000 Presented by Cooper Tires podium results to his credit, Jay Howard Driver Development (JHDD) competitor Evagoras Papasavvas will look for more this weekend. Set to compete in his first career oval race, Papasavvas will take part in the Carb Night Classic at the Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park on the famed Indy 500 weekend in Indianapolis, Indiana.
“I am ready to make a bunch of left turns,” expressed Evagoras. “We had a great test on the oval a few weeks ago and my speed really boosted my confidence heading into this coming weekend. I think I can do well for myself, but also that we can do great as a team.”
With several competitors in the JHDD program, drivers have been able to work together and share data, elevating not only the performance of the team but pushing one another.
Papasavvas added, “We have a great atmosphere within the program and all work together. This has worked very well in past races and am confident we will be able to do the same this coming Thursday and Friday. We are just about halfway through the USF2000 season, and the time is now to make a push for results to make a run at the championship.”
Focused on consistency, Evagoras has earned multiple podium results to date in 2023. Currently fourth in the USF2000 Presented by Cooper Tires, the single race on the oval will provide another opportunity to stand on the podium and Evagoras Papasavvas’ first career USF2000 victory.
