Rising young American star Spencer Pigot strengthened his lead in the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda by winning the traditional “Night Before the 500” at Lucas Oil Raceway.

The Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda resumes its 2012 schedule this week with the popular “Night Before the 500” on Saturday, May 26, at Lucas Oil Raceway.

Tickets are available to the public for the inaugural Mazda Road to Indy Victory Celebration on May 27 at Sensu Restaurant and Nightclub in downtown Indianapolis honoring future Indianapolis 500 competitors.

The Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda concluded its now annual first week of May road trip this past weekend, offering its drivers a series of test sessions at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course and Lucas Oil Raceway and classroom instruction on oval racing.
