Two weeks after taking control of the Cooper Tires Presents the USF2000 National Championship Powered by Mazda by dominating the pair of Allied Building Products races at Mid-Ohio, 18-year-old rising Finnish star Petri Suvanto hopes to maintain that momentum when the series takes to another of the country’s premier road courses – the historic Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wis. – this weekend.

Series points leader Petri Suvanto increased his lead in the championship this afternoon with a dominant drive to win Race 1 of the Allied Building Products USF2000 National Championship Races at Mid-Ohio.

The Cooper Tires Presents the USF2000 National Championship Powered by Mazda will be at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course this week for a double-header weekend of racing in support of the IZOD IndyCar Series and the American Le Mans Series.

A dozen young American drivers have been nominated, hailing from a multitude of racing backgrounds, and this weekend will meet with an illustrious panel of auto racing experts at Mid-Ohio.
