After becoming the first American racing series with a dedicated broadcast channel on demand via Apple TV, Amazon Fire and Roku last April, Mazda Road to Indy TV today announced another landmark. The Mazda Road to Indy Presented by Cooper Tires will now be the first open-wheel racing series to have an Official App on Xbox One.

Following an impressive debut for the brand-new Mazda-powered Tatuus USF-17 engine-chassis combination in St. Petersburg, another new team, Benik Kart, and four more drivers – Bayley Mickler from Australia, Toby Sowery from England, plus U.S. drivers Darren Keane and Flinn Lazier – have signed up to contest this weekend’s Mazda USF2000 Grand Prix of Alabama Presented by Cooper Tires.

The young Dutchman has turned his sights on America and the Mazda Road to Indy, signing with series stalwarts Pabst Racing for the 2017 season. VeeKay made his championship intentions known at the first race weekend of the year in St. Petersburg, Fla., earning podium finishes of second (from a 14th-place starting position) and third in his first two races
