The most recent round of the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship will hold a special memory for Thomas Nepveu, as the 17-year-old Canadian finished second – his best result of the season – in a hard-fought battle in his homeland on the streets of Toronto. The race was held in support of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, which returned north of the border after a three-year absence to a massively enthusiastic crowd, and Nepveu’s podium result was a nod to sponsor Evirum, headquartered in Montreal – an hour’s drive from his hometown of Oka.

The company joined Nepveu’s quest to climb the Road to Indy Presented by Cooper Tires ladder to the NTT INDYCAR SERIES in August of last year. It was a partnership that combined the peak performance required in racing with the similar attributes which lie at the heart of business for Evirum.
Acknowledged as an international karting standout, Nepveu made the move from karts to cars in 2020 and quickly proved the timing was right with wins in the Mexican FIA NACAM Formula 4 championship, followed by his maiden USF2000 victory during his rookie campaign in 2021. Driving for the accomplished DEForce Racing team this season, Nepveu currently lies sixth in the championship standings.
