Nico Jamin was not disappointed to leave Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis with a second-place trophy. He knows that the fight with Jake Eidson and Aaron Telitz for the 2015 Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda may last all the way to the last turn in the final race at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, California.

This week, Jamin and his USF2000 competitors are heading north of the border to Toronto, Ontario. The 1.755-mile, 11-turn, temporary-street circuit is one of the drivers’ season favorites. Jamin is eager to start practicing on Friday, and his goal is to continue winning races.

The Frenchman raced in the streets of downtown Toronto last year, so he won't have to waste time learning the track. Cape Motorsports with Wayne Taylor Racing worked actively since Indy to prepare the most competitive and reliable car for Jamin, and they too are looking to see the driver from Rouen extend his championship lead after the two upcoming Canadian rounds 10 and 11, to be raced on Saturday and Sunday.

Jamin will drive the No. 2 Cape Motorsports with Wayne Taylor Racing/Synova Eco Plastics/BRM Chronographes/All Road Academy/Racing for France F2000 Mazda in Toronto.

"I'm excited to head to Toronto. It's a very nice race, and the track is special, as it is a temporary street course and very bumpy," commented Jamin. "I like this downtown portion of Toronto. I really enjoyed racing here last year. I'm in a good situation heading to Canada, because I'm currently leading the championship by 15 points. We'll keep pushing and try to get victories and extend my leadership."

With 233 points, Jamin leads the USF2000 championship after nine rounds and is looking forward to race the next seven. His two most dangerous competitors are Jake Eidson, who is currently ranked second in the championship, 15 points behind Jamin, and Jamin's teammate, Aaron Telitz, who is ranked third, 30 points behind the championship leader.

"We had a great first half of the season, but there are three more race weekends to come, so we have to stay focused and stronger than ever," Jamin said. "Mid-Ohio is one of my favorite tracks, and it's going be a triple-header weekend next July, a great opportunity for me to score some big points. After that, we'll head to California for the big season finale on the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey. I've never raced there, but I'm really looking forward to it. The track looks awesome, I'm sure it's going be a lot of fun. It is going be very intense, because we will race for the 2015 championship win!"

The Cooper Tires USF2000 Powered by Mazda 2015 Streets of Toronto event starts on Friday, June 12, with two practice sessions at 8:45 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. EDT. Qualifying is set for Saturday, June 13, at 9:20 a.m., as well as the 30-minute race one, scheduled for 12:40 p.m. EDT. Race two is set for Sunday, June 14, at 9 a.m. EDT.
