Veteran and rookie bring both cars home this weekend

It was a successful weekend for Legacy Autosport at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course with a pair of top-ten results. Taking on the 13-turn road course for rounds ten and eleven of the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship, Zach Holden garnered the team's best finishes while Tim Pagliuso made his series debut finishing both race events over the weekend.

"It was a challenging weekend in Ohio," explained Legacy Autosport's Mike Meyer. "Qualifying in the cool of the morning and racing in the heat of the day really changed the handling of our Tatuus race cars. Staying on top of it was the game plan, and I think we did a really good job. Zach was able to overcome some incidents in Toronto and add tenth and fifth place finishes which provides us some great momentum heading into the final two event weekends of the season."

With qualifying not going exactly as planned, Holden clocked eleventh and sixth place starting spots while Pagliuso decreased lap times and would start both races from row nine.

The first wheel-to-wheel action of the weekend took place on Saturday afternoon after NTT IndyCar Series qualifying. With a packed house of spectators and some anxious USF2000 drivers, Holden secured a tenth place result while Pagliuso overcame a first lap spin to gain track time and experience in his first career start.

Sunday would be a better day for the Indianapolis-based program. Holden was able to battle at the front of the field and claim a fourth-place finish, his fourth top-five result of the year. Continuing to work with his partners and decrease lap times, Pagliuso improved drastically over the three-day event weekend and secured a 16th-place result at the end of the day on Sunday.

Meyer added, "It was a busy first weekend for Tim. From his crew duties at Rahal Letterman Lanigan to having a host of people from his partners, Turtle Plastics, he took everything in stride and managed the overall weekend. It was great to see the support that he has from both the series, IndyCar and his partners, and I hope that he can continue that and build a bigger program in 2020 and beyond."

Legacy Autosport has begun to accept drivers for the annual Chris Griffis Test set to take place at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway later this year. With 2020 less than five months away, Legacy Autosport is already looking at a winter testing program for new drivers looking to compete with the elite level program.
