Papasavvas has his sights set high in 2024 following strong 2023

LOVELAND, Ohio – Following the long off-season, Evagoras Papasavvas is returning to the USF2000 Presented by Continental Tire series with Jay Howard Driver Development (JHDD) and will commence a new campaign beginning this weekend at the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg. Looking to improve on his already impressive 2023 results, Papasavvas started last season off on the second step of the podium and is looking to do one position better in 2024.

“Last year we ran well at St. Pete and came home with a pair of top-five results finishing second and fourth,” Papasavvas explained. “I’m confident that we can achieve great results again this year, especially with the experience and confidence I now have, and fight for the series title and scholarship to move to the next step.” 

Papasavvas had several strong finishes throughout the 2023 season and ultimately finished fourth in the USF2000 championship. Earning his first podium result during the first weekend of the year, along with his first pole position and USF2000 win in July at his home track, the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, the young driver from Ohio enters 2024 motivated.

“Finishing fourth in the championship last season was an accomplishment I’m proud of," he said, "but I’m certain I can do even better this year and make a run for the championship.”

“Evagoras is a strong driver who keeps growing his skill set,” said JHDD boss Jay Howard. “Last year in his first outing at St. Pete, he did well, so it will be exciting to see what he can achieve this time. After a good season last year, he has spent the off-season preparing and improving, and we have high expectations for the 2024 season.”

Evagoras Papasavvas and the rest of the USF2000 Presented by Continental Tire field will take to the track Friday, March 8 for the first and only practice session of the weekend. The busy Friday schedule also includes qualifying and race one. Race two is scheduled to take place on Saturday afternoon.
