Brazilian rookie Victor Franzoni captured the race one victory via an impressive run in less than ideal wet conditions, while Jeroen Slaghekke added to the points haul in Florida, with two strong top-10 efforts.

Belardi Auto Racing commenced its quest for the 2014 Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship title over the weekend (March 29-30) with two visits to the post-race podium. The French tandem of Nico Jamin and Florian Latorre were drivers to watch throughout the season-opening doubleheader on the Streets of St. Petersburg, finishing third in race one and two respectively, while Daniel Burkett further highlighted the team's talent, securing a top-five finish in Florida.

JAY Motorsports just missed a trip to the podium to start its 2014 race season, thanks to a strong rookie run on the Streets of St. Petersburg, Fla. Adrian Starrantino showcased his talents with sixth and fourth place efforts in the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda season-opener, and was joined in the top-10 by Henrik Furuseth.

JDC MotorSports' 2014 Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda campaign is off to a solid points scoring start, following a top-five effort on the Streets of St. Petersburg. Second-year racer Clark Toppe showcased pace and racecraft in the season-opening twin bill, ultimately coming home with a fifth-place effort in Race Two.

RC Enerson was pleased with his second-place finish in yesterday’s first leg of the Peninsula Pipeline Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, but he was ecstatic this morning after clinching his first “regular season” victory in Round 2 of the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda.
