Afterburner Autosport and their young Brazilian drivers Victor Franzoni and Gustavo Myasava delivered strong showings last weekend (May 23-24) at the seventh race of the 2014 Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda.

As one of the leaders of the Mazda Road to Indy paddock, Belardi Auto Racing has three strong drivers under their USF2000 tent, and this trio was an exciting part of the top-10 battle this past Saturday evening at Lucas Oil Raceway during the annual ‘Night Before The 500’ event.

Racing at the Lucas Oil Raceway in the ‘Night Before The 500’ event, which was part of the festivities for the 98th Indianapolis 500, Toppe spring-boarded off a fourth place result at the Grand Prix of Indianapolis just two weeks ago to secure yet another top-five finish at the series’ only oval race of the year.

Saturday at Lucas Oil Raceway, ArmsUp Motorsports earned their first overall win in the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda. Twenty-two-year-old rookie Aaron Telitz started in sixth place to win his first race on an oval.

The Afterburner Autosport crew has scored a win and a trio of podium finishes this year in the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda series, and now they’re heading to the ‘Night Before The 500’ at Lucas Oil Raceway this weekend with two oval track rookies in Brazilians Victor Franzoni and Gustavo Myasava.
